The Operative Atlas of Laparoscopic Reconstructive Urology is essential reading for all practicing urologists around the globe, offering a comprehensive visual walkthrough of common procedures. Written by leading international experts, and edited by two pioneers in the field of laparoscopic urology who have more than 2,000 surgeries between them, this title also describes common pitfalls to add further worth as a practical surgical manual. Many contributing authors are also highly active in robotic surgery, and as such, this book will additionally cover the robotic applications to many of the described urologic conditions. Laparoscopic urologic surgery is slowly becoming the surgery of choice in most urologic diseases, but as its application to reconstructive operations is a relatively new field, structured training is severely lacking in this area. This atlas therefore provides sequential pictures for most of the reconstructive urology procedures, with particular focus on pyeloplasty and ureteric reimplantation. Illustrations for each chapter on the whole come from a single case, with diagrammatic representation often also included to deepen clarity. In total the book contains 40 chapters, each offering a step-by-step illustrative approach, with specific reference to procedures directed at the following areas: - Kidney- Uretero Pelvic Junction- Ureter - Bladder- Prostate - Seminal vesical and undescended Testis. As such, this is an ideal reference work for all practicing urologists, surgical trainees and fully qualified surgeons, and also additionally, nurses and operation theatre technicians. With experience in the specialised training methodology required to produce successful results, within both developed and developing countries, the editors have further constructed the book in such a way that urologists will be able to perform the laparoscopic procedures described using simplified devices.

Since the first laparoscopic approach for a urologic tumor was performed in 1991, the field has evolved dramatically and minimally invasive surgery is today a significant surgical option for the treatment of patients with prostate and other urologic cancers. Laparoscopic Techniques in Urologic Oncology is a comprehensive technical manual of these current laparoscopic practices written by a panel of international contributors. Laparoscopic Techniques in Urologic Oncology includes many illustrations documenting each step of each procedure, as well as descriptions of nuances and common pitfalls. By emphasizing successful techniques, this book will be of use to the surgeons wanting to hone their skills in laparoscopy and for residents just entering this highly demanding field. Specific chapters include the following procedures: Adrenal gland tumors (radical/partial adrenalectomy) Bladder cancer (radical cystectomy and urinary diversion) Kidney tumors (radical/partial nephrectomy) Pelvic lymph node dissection Prostate cancer (radical prostatectomy) Testis cancer (retroperitoneal lymph node dissection) Upper urinary tract cancers (nephro-uretectomy).

Robotic technology has paved the way for new opportunities in pediatric urologic surgery. Where once laparoscopy was restricted to urological conditions in children such as undescended testicles and ambiguous genitalia, robotic techniques are now enabling the completion of greatly needed, more involved procedures. Written by highly respected surgeons, Pediatric Robotic Urology provides a state-of-the-art, comprehensive overview of the precise surgical techniques that are changing the practice of pediatric urologic surgery. Divided in two sections and covering both introductory topics and advanced surgical techniques, Pediatric Robotic Urology also includes myriad illustrations and photographs of intraoperative procedures. Developed for accessible reading, this invaluable title is a concise, yet broad reference that is certain to be of significant value to urologists, surgeons, and all health care providers who care for pediatric urologic patients.
